Liu Qingzhu graduated from the History Department of Peking University in 1967. He served as a member of the CPPCC National Committee, the director of the Institute of Archaeology CASS and the academic committee. And now Prof. Liu is the director of the research center of ancient civilization CASS committee, member of the National Committee of Philosophy and Social Sciences expert and a foreign academician of the German Archaeological Research Institute.
