Profile of the Lecturer:
Professor Maarten G.J. Duijvendak is the director of Studies Research Master Modern History and International Relations, and the full professor (chair) of Economic, Social and Regional History in the Faculty of Arts, University of Groningen. He is also director of the Netherlands Agronomic Historical Institute (NAHI). He has significant academic status in European Economic History and International Relations. He hosts a variety of programs with topics touching on “the Language of Science”, “History and Social Inequality”, “History of Elites”, “Regional History”, “Public History”, etc. He has composed and edited twenty monographs and volumes, and has published dozens of academic articles. He is in academic connection and cooperation with Central Michigan University (USA), Tsinghua University (China) and Osaka University (Japan).
