倪玉平，北京大学历史系博士毕业，现为清华大学人文学院历史系教授，博士生导师。主要从事清代社会经济史的研究。博士论文曾获全国百篇优秀博士论文奖，主持有国家社科基金项目“清朝嘉道财政与社会”。出版学术专著《清代漕粮海运与社会变迁》、《清朝嘉道关税研究》、《清朝嘉道财政与社会》等著作，翻译黄仁宇《十六世纪明代中国之财政与税收》（台湾联经出版社2001年；三联书店2001年）。在《中国社会科学》、《历史研究》、《中国史研究》、《近代史研究》等刊物发表学术论文数十篇。哈佛燕京学者、荷兰格罗宁根大学客座教授。<br />
Ni Yuing received the PhD degree from the department of History in Peking University and is currently a professor and PhD student’s supervisor in the Department of History in Tsinghua University. He specializes in Economic and Social History of Qing dynasty. He was awarded with “the NationalOne-Hundred Excellent Doctoral Dissertations Prize” and hosts National Social Science Foundation program “Finance and Society in Jiadao’s Period in Qing Dynasty”. His monographs include <em>Food Transportation by Canals and Sea and the Social Changes in Qing Dynasty</em>, <em>Study on Tariff of Jiadao Period in Qing Dynasty</em>, <em>Finance and Society in Jiadao’s Period in Qing Dynasty</em>, etc. He has also translated Ray Huang’s book <em>Taxation and Governmental Finance in Sixteenth-Century Ming China</em> (Taiwan Linking Publishing Co, Ltd 2001; SDX Joint Publishing Company 2001). He has published dozens of articles on journals including <em>Social Sciences in China</em>, <em>Historical Research</em>, <em>Journal of Chinese Historical Studies</em>, and <em>Modern Chinese History Studies</em>. He is Harvard Yenching Scholar and visiting professor in University of Groningen.
