Esther Hoffmann works as senior researcher at the Institute for Ecological Economy Research (IOEW) since 1998. IOEW is a private research institute and think-tank specialized in sustainability science. She holds a master degree in environmental engineering from the Technical University in Berlin and a PhD in economics from the University of Oldenburg. Her research focus is on climate adaptation, especially stakeholder participation in adaptation policy and private adaptation, user integration in sustainable innovations, and corporate responsibility.
